Actor Josh Ryan Evans passed away on the evening of August 5 at a San Diego, CA hospital due to complications stemming from a long-time congenital heart condition. Evans was 20 years old. He is survived by his mother Cheryl, his father Chuck, his older brother James Evans and his grandparents Belle and Gene Riding. At the family's request, donations may be sent in Josh's name to the Make-a-Wish Foundation in lieu of flowers.

"I wanted to let you know that our Chapter had the pleasure of granting Josh's wish in November 1993 to go on the "Big Red Boat" Disney Cruise." -- Thuy Pham

Operation: Precious Hearts was formed when several of Josh's fans decided to pull together and form a 'Josh Campaign' in his memory. Headed by Amy, with several others contributing their ideas, the campaign became a reality. The idea of the campaign is to show our love for Josh by contributing our money together to the Make-a-Wish foundation. Want to help? Below is a letter from Amy explaining what you need to do.
Josh was a Wish Kid in the Greater Bay/San Francisco chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation. Our contact there is a wonderful lady by the name of Thuy Pham (pronounced Twee). If you want to mail in a donation, just send a quick note with it indicating that it is for Operation: Precious Hearts in memory of Josh Ryan Evans.
You can mail it to: Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation c/o Thuy Pham 120 Montgomery Street, Ste 1080 San Francisco, CA 94104
If you would prefer, you can also call her directly at 415-402-2766 and make a credit card donation. If you call after business hours, just leave a message (without your credit card number, of course) and she will call you back so you can make your donation. You can also call toll free at 1-800-464-9474 and just ask for Thuy.
Help us get the word out about Operation: Precious Hearts. For those of you with a web site, please place one of the following banners on your page with a link back to the site.
